Experience the charm of yesteryear with this SCHMID Clock, a true testament to the craftsmanship of the Mid-Century Modern era. Crafted in West Germany, this timepiece is a blend of brass, glass, metal, and plastic, exuding an air of elegance and durability. The clock boasts a rich gold colour that adds a touch of luxury to any room.
This mechanical 8-day clock, complete with a draw and a 4-jewel movement, is designed to captivate and soothe. The pendulum ensures a steady tick-tock, a piece that's both functional and decorative. It's a wonderful addition for collectors and interior design aficionados alike.
There is a tiny chip in the bottom right corner of the glass. The top middle plastic finial has broken off. Two round screws are missing on the top of the left side to hold the plastic side (without the screw, this panel does stay in place). There is some wear throughout, particularly on the top.
The clock is working, and the pendulum keeps a regular pace. Unsure if music works at a certain time, as it cannot be operated manually since the dial doesn't turn. I haven't heard it play, despite having it on for a few days.
